Star Bucks Bummer!

So I have been seeing this image all over Pinterest with a tag about how brides get a FREE Star Bucks on their wedding day! "How amazing is that?" I thought....

Well - after some research - I'm sad to say - not so awesome...

Apparently this Pinterest fave is false. It may have been true some random day that Star Bucks promoted a free drink for brides, but it's not an ongoing every day thing. Bummer, right?

Well here's what I say about this. First - you can always try!!! It never hurts to ask, so if you are a Star Bucks fiend like me and are already planning on getting a Star Bucks fix on the morning of your big day - then I say go for it. And even if they say no, I'd still ask for them to write The Bride on your cup for the fun of it.

Happy Wedding Day!!

P.S. If it works for you I'd love to hear about it! Comment and give other brides hope!!

Baby's Breath

I’ve been noticing a lot of weddings using baby breath for bouquets. I’ve always thought of baby’s breath as a filler, but I have to admit I’m loving this trend! It’s a gorgeous budget friendly option and even better – it lasts a long time! Going by the name gypsophila, this flower will give you a heavenly, whimsical touch.
My personal favorite is having all the bridesmaid carrying nothing but baby’s breath – and then sprinkling it in the bridal bouquet.

I had a bride of mine recently send me pictures showcasing Harley Mae jewelry and couldn’t help but notice her use of baby’s breath… she actually had the baby’s breath tinted a blush pink color and I immediately fell in love.

Other gorgeous ways to incorporate baby’s breath in your ceremony and reception space…

Cushion Eternal Love

That cute little ring bearer! He holds the two things that represent the unending circle of your united partnership and symbol of eternity. The ring bearer pillow will be carrying the two wedding rings, the symbol of the bride and grooms’ bond as husband and wife.
The ring pillow is an important element and there are so many ways to interpret your ring pillow. You can use the ring pillow to help bring together your theme (if you have one), go with a meaningful one by having someone close to you make it, or maybe something you can reuse into an accent pillow. Here are some great choices!

You can hoist your rings on love like this darling pillow. It represents love, but will also make a darling accent pillow on your newly wed bed. Go custom with a personalized keepsake. Perfect to put out on display or cherish in your wedding keep box. Use your ring pillow to tie in your theme. This Christmas woodland burlap pillow would be great for a rustic winter theme!

This one is special to me, because it was mine! I did a lot of diy projects for my wedding and made my pillow to go with my vintage floral theme. I made my pillow circular because I ran with the “eternal circle” throughout my planning with details.

Custom Ribbon Options

Harley Mae has 40 colors of ribbons – but there are lot more colors and shades out there… so Harley Mae offers brides to send in their own ribbon to be used on any Harley Mae design. Any type of ribbon can be used – taffeta, velvet, grosgrain – and in any width.
Here’s a beautiful shot of shared by a recent bride. She sent in the ribbon and had Lily necklaces and Lillian bracelets made with it for her bridesmaids. They came out just gorgeous!!
Harley Mae is hand made – so customizing for your perfect day is made easy. Submit your request here.

Radiant Orchid

The Patone color of 2014 has been announced! It’s Radiant Orchid! What a gorgeous color to incorporate into your wedding – and goes well with many other colors from navy to apple green, to lemon yellow. Make it your color, or just an accent!
There are many ways to add color to your wedding – bouquets, dresses, cake, centerpieces – you can even add a color sash to your dress. You can also do it the Harley Mae way – and do colored ribbon necklaces for you and the girls. No matter how you like to incorporate color into your wedding – think about doing it with the purply pink Radiant Orchid.
